Her name’s Julia, but you may know her as The Millennial Decorator. Or, better yet, as the originator of the TSA tray flatlay and the source of every styled vignette you have in your inspo folder. But Julia isn’t just a social media content creator; she’s an expert vintage curator & seller, responsible for sourcing the holy grail pieces worn by everyone from models on the Mirror Palais runway to Matilda Djerf to your best-dressed friend.
And, call us biased, but we think she’s just released her best drop yet: the TMD x SIDIA Until Tomorrow Tray.
In our chat with Julia, we talk about staying inspired online, and how, if comparison is a thief of joy, collaboration is a creator of it.

We know family is huge for you. Who are the important matriarchs in your life?
"I come from a family of strong women! I was raised just by my mom, so my mom is absolutely the biggest figure in my life who continually inspires me. I come from a lineage of women who have worked in fashion and lived many lives. Their stories of perseverance always carry me through."
What influence have these women had in you creating The Millennial Decorator?
"The women in my family have always done something creative whether it may be hat making to fashion importation. Their experiences in the world of fashion have always inspired me to be in it one day. I grew up with many stories of how fashion and vintage are a part of my heritage and it's such an honor and a dream to merge both into what I do with TMD today."
TMD is such a source of inspiration. It’s the IG that launched a thousand TSA tray pics, after all. But we’re curious: where do you go to find your inspiration? Is social media still inspiring you these days?
"I love that I’ve been able to magically form this amazing community of women around the world — it's truly so special and I think anyone that is involved feels that."
On that note, how do you keep yourself true to your personal style without falling into the micro trend trap of IG/TikTok?
In any industry that can be sooo exclusive and gatekeep-y, TMD has always felt like an intentionally welcoming page — somewhere all style lovers are invited to stop by + shop (or even just ogle your latest pick ups). What’s your philosophy on community as part of the TMD brand?
"Community is absolutely everything. I would be nowhere without the TMD community and it’s something I consider as one of the single most important pieces of my brand. I always want my followers to feel welcome and included no matter where they are or who they are. That has been the ethos since day one."
When you’re not busy sourcing vintage collections for TMD shoppers, you’re often spotted styling pieces for brands like Mirror Palais and Buci. Has collaboration always been your goal for TMD or have these partnerships just happened organically?
"They happened completely organically! Collaborating with amazing stylists, brands, and designers has been some of my proudest work. Even more than that, I have been able to form real and special relationships with so many special individuals that I look up to so much. We just completed our third NYFW and it’s been an amazing endeavor."
Speaking of collaborations, we’re beyond thrilled the TMD x SIDIA partnership is out in the world! Can you tell us more about the meaning of the ‘Until Tomorrow’ saying that’s included on our collab piece?
"Of course! The saying comes from my grandmother and is a reminder that everything can wait “Until Tomorrow” that even on our worst days, tomorrow is another day that brings new opportunity."
