Can Geri Hirsch see the future? The creative entrepreneur and angel investor launched one of the first lifestyle blogs with Because I’m Addicted and has worked in clean beauty for over 15 years. As Saie’s founding creative director, she pioneered the brand’s crisp imagery and no makeup-makeup look, and has since consulted and advised many of our go-to beauty, health, and lifestyle brands (including SIDIA, of course.) Geri has an intuitive understanding of how we want to live, look, and feel, and we love her approach to motherhood, style, and conscious living—which she shares from her family farm in Santa Ynez.
We checked in with Geri to talk family, self-love, and her journey through entrepreneurship.

Who are the important women or matriarchs in your life?
"My grandmother, Gladys. A badass and wonderful lady who was my best friend."
What lessons have you picked up from them (style, intuition, spirit, life, skincare)?
"I would sit on her bed as a little girl, studying her every move as she got ready, her diamond cursive 'G' ring always on her pinky (something she would later pass down to me). The way she 'booped' her bob after blowing it out, the final spritz of perfume, the way she applied her makeup, rubbing her lips together just so with her signature lipstick."
"She had incredible wit, a great sense of humor, was a great home cook, a terrific friend (and had lots of them), and knew how to have a good time. I just adored her! Like you and SIDIA, which is why I was initially connected to your brand."
How would you describe what 'home' feels like for you?
"My family is home."
"I think there are many evolutions to this as our seasons and chapters change. At the moment, I feel really comfortable in my role as a mom and more connected to myself than ever before."
"Talk kindly to yourself."
With so many creative ventures from blogging, consulting, and owning your coffee shop, how do you relax when you’re not working?
"Family above all else, I cook a ton, and as a surprise to many, I've become an avid gardener."
Do you have a favorite piece or collected/heirloom item in your wardrobe?
Did you always see yourself becoming an entrepreneur?
"I never thought about being an entrepreneur; I was simply a scrappy and resourceful go-getter, and one day I lifted my head up and people were referring to me as an entrepreneur. It's a title earned more than anything else in my opinion, earned by taking risks, failing, succeeding, learning, taking roads less traveled and continually evolving."
